Activated Carbon continues to promote the greening of energy technologies from the guardian of desulphurisation (natural gas purification), hydrogen production (coal gasification - CCS), to the pioneer of energy storage (supercapacitor) and hydrogen storage carrier (low temperature adsorption). Future trends will focus on biomass resource utilisation (ramie/lancashire substitution) and precise pore structure control (pore size-surface chemistry synergy), in order to realise highly efficient energy conversion under the goal of ‘dual-carbon’.
